Need some input. Yes I know Ranger boats are great, but I'm looking at ONLY a Phoenix or Legend. So anyone that has like or dislikes about both, please chime in. Looking at the Alpha or V21 in Legend or 921 Phoenix.
Thanks

I made a very detailed post about owning a Skeeter and riding in a Legend. The thread is titled "Skeeter vs Legend". I know you're not interested in Skeeter but I feel like I made some very valid points about the Legend Alpha series of boats.

If I had to sum up a Legend Alpha, it's great in rough water, but bad when the trolling motor is down.

I bought a Legend V-20 in April 2015 and absolutely love the boat. The best thing that I can tell you is to go out in both and check out each of the dealers to see which one will meet your needs.
With anything you are going to have issues from time to time and what sets a company apart is how they handle it when they do.
I cannot speak anything negative about Phoenix but I have seen firsthand how well Sartin Marine takes care of their customers.
I'll be glad to let you run my V-20 anytime, just shoot me a PM or call 903-348-4834.

Nothing rides better than a Phoenix, and that's coming from someone who owns a Champion

The 921 is probably the best riding boat I've ever been in, and when the trolling motor down, it is has slightly(a very very small amount) less fishability as a Ranger, IMO. Never been in a V21, but the V20 is also a great riding boat. It rocks more than the 921 with the trolling motor is down. My choice would be a 921.

921 no doubt, especially if compared to the Alpha series. Rides amazing and fishes great.

I was in the same situation 2 years ago and probably would have gone either way depending on the deal I could get. Ended up with Phoenix and couldn't be more happy. It has exceeded any and all expectations. I still like the Legends a lot and like above I only heard that they tend to cavitate when fishing but I've never heard anyone say it was so bad they complained about it.

I owned a 211 Alpha. This is my second Phoenix and there's no comparison to the ride or the fishing platform stability of the 921 Phoenix.

I will 2nd what Eddie said. I have owned both and the Phoenix is by far a better boat in my opinion. The ride is better. The fishing platform is better. And it's faster.

Plus. Go look at the boats for sale section on here and on bass boat central. There are tons more legends for sale than Phoenix. There is a reason.

Give Fain at Fun N Sun boats a call and he can set you up with a demo ride in a Phoenix 921. I can tell you first hand that their customer service is top notch and they go above and beyond to make their customers happy.

I've fished out of both his legends and his 920. I have a fx 20 now and the 920 will be my next boat.
