Going to benbrook, i once went with a guide out there a few years back and he was drifting with a slab for hybrids, does anyone know of a good slab to use while drifting for hybrids..

not sure about benbrook but on tawakoni we use flukes. 3"-5" on a 1/2 oz jig head. drifted just like we do with live shad. not quite as effective but it has worked in the past. we also troll with hellbenders and pet spoons occasionally until we can find locations and depths that the fish are at. i dont see why the same technique wont work elsewhere

I think color depends on the lake in my opinion (as well as cloud cover, water clarity, etc.). I would put a couple poles out and try different colors until you find out what they hit. watermelon red, charturese/blue, but Silver / shad type colors seem to always be a good bet when the sun is shining.
