Anybody know where I could buy one of these ? I've tried BPS, Cabelas, Gander Mountain, Academy, Amazon and Walmart. I've heard they quit making them but thought maybe a mom & pop store might have one on hand. Lost mine and sure miss it.

This is a bogus website ( Jaw Jacker Tackle ) I talked to the guy and he told me this website was not working and there are no Blakemore brush gripper ANYWHERE. So back to the search. Thanks anyway.

How about just making one? Battery clamp like they use on HD jumper cables and some rope?

That would be wonderful, but how have you lived without it. I've had two of them and somehow they just got up and walked off.

Thanks for the suggestion but the jaws on jumper cables are pretty small and you're limited to the size limbs you can hook on to. I've got a carabiner on a rope that I've using but I have to loop it around the limb and that's works ok but another use for the brush gripper is clamping on to a pier after launching my boat while I park my truck. I just find the gripper a handy tool.

They are great. I have had a pair on my boat for 25 years. They are bent up some but still do the job. You are still limited to the size of limb you can clip to. They like 2" stuff.

Tru Turn does own Blakemore but do not have the brush gripper. I talked to a major supplier of fish related products and he says he gets hundreds of calls a day for the brush grippers but none are to be found and apparently no one is interested in making one. The imitators you see at BPS and Academy are only good for kayaks and such. Guess I'll have to stick to tying up with a rope.

That's my luck, I'm in Dallas. Thanks for the info though. I may check some of the bait shops around here, might get lucky.

Try the Baker Brush and Boat Anchor. I have had them for years and still always have one on deck. Years ago I actually preferred it to the Blakemore model. Cheap and efficient. Few years ago we were out on Falcon clamped to a stick up in 25mph winds with waves breaking over the bow and it held up. Google: Baker Brush and Boat Anchor and see them. Buy online or Bass Pro.
