A couple of questions for you:

How many did you catch in total?
Were they still a bit fickle and scattered?

Conroe is one of the best bream lakes in TX when it is on.

Great fish thumb

I've been wanting to get out to Conroe. I've heard the stories of the monster bream in there many times. I studied the google earth pictures and saw thousands of bream beds in the pictures during the drought. Did you fish on the northern parts of the lake? Maybe we can plan a trip together out there some time. The spawn should be going really great by the next full moon.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I'm gonna have to post on here with reports more often! Conroe should definitely be on everyone's bucket list. Its full of big perch!

Flipping-Out: I fished for a long time that day so I couldn't possibly have an exact number for the sunfish because I caught so many but I can estimate maybe 40 sunfish, 13 catfish, 2 spotted bass, and 1 largemouth bass.

J-Moe: I'll reply to that P.M.

fe1: that fish is a bluegill. It seems as though when a native bluegill and coppernose bluegill breed, those black spots come up on them all scattered around. Its one of my favorite bluegill variants.
