Sure would be nice to send that water to Ivie....

Ivie has caught 8.5' and more coming, the rivers are flowing at a combined 4000 cfs.

That's Great News! I'd love to see it fill up. It's a great lake.

This morning's graph...

Stillwaters is fishing there tomorrow. Fish ought to be nice and confused.

Here's the longer term view that supports Jerry's numbers. Substantially up since the last low point.

Ivie is a Frog strangler away from really catching some water... but i mean we need 4-6 inches FAST and most importantly in the right place.

A few more inches in Angelo would be nice, the runoff percentage off all the concrete/asphalt is high.

Needs to be east of Angelo towards Ballenger for Ivie to get any of it.

8.5ft is GREAT news!!!! Let's hope it continues to rise. It was last week-ish 2yrs ago that it rose like 15ft. If we could send this water from Buch/Travis your way......I'd do it in a heart beat! I look forward to some great burgers, big fish and the sounds of donkey's making out in my future!

Is the lake muddy? Thinking about headed there Sunday but if it's muddy I might try somewhere else.

It only has to be down stream of OC and Nasworthy, which are on the west side of the city of Angelo. So rain in town will help.

Couple things, Fished Ivie when it came up real fast (2 years ago I believe) when Nasworthy released a lot of water. There was floating debris logs and lots of dead fish around Concho and was pretty dangerous so careful out there if there is a turd floater.
Second thing is most of the runoff makes its way through the rivers, the Concho has multiple dams between Angelo and Ivie and I'm sure there are some along the Colorado as well. Each one of those must fill up and spill over before water can reach the lake. Plus you still have to consider all the smaller branches off those two rivers that could possibly have the same scenario. This all adds up to a big delay in seeing any results AND like previously stated unless its a 100 year storm event much of the water will be absorbed due to the terrain it must cross to enter the creeks and rivers and evaporated without significant flow. The water shed is fairly large, but compared to Alan Henry (which consists of 14 counties or something like that) it is pretty small.

-Trust me I'm a civil engineer...

Wrong! The concha river runs right through the MIDDLE of San Angelo
Nasworthy gates are open now which is on the Concho. Anything south goes to twin buttes, anything in San Angelo goes to Ivie

Neither are wrong but actually the best flow coming in is elm creek coming from the winters area, it's flowing near 3000 and the concho at paint rock is 1770.
The main lake is isn't as stained as I thought it would be, I was on the lake all day yesterday and of course the north end is stained big time. With the water coming in now I think the whole lake will be stained. I drove over the concho bridge and it's rolling good and dirty. Elm creek near Padget park has been flowing very steady since Tuesday. The actual reading from the flow charts are action it does not show all the creeks down stream from the flow meters.

Its actually bigger than a lot of peopl think. The highlighted area around San Angelo is the Concho watershed, the one that includes Robert Lee is the Colorado watersh
