Seems like forever since I posted here. I've been doing some fishing now and again but just got out of the practice of report. We drove down to POC Saturday morning and go on the water at 10 am. I had obligations here in Austin that prevented my usual Friday night dash down. Tide was dead the jetty was flat and nothing was happening. We had a quart of shrimp and couple pounds of fresh dead. We anchored up in our usual spot and made a day of it. We were mainly just happy to be out. There were enough small reds, sheephead and drum up on the rocks to keep it interesting. After picking up a couple piggy perch, we sent some cut bait down on abu 6500's. We got a couple slugs of weak tide change that kicked off a few bull reds. We also had some pup sharks and few bite offs that were likely the same. The weather was nice. Overcast and not too hot (yet). Sunday morning we got out earlier to also find weak tide that started flowing pretty good after about an hour. We didn't put any cut bait out and just targeted black drum in about 50' of water. Fishing was slow but we caught enough for several fish frys.
