Ive been told the stick o worm is just as good if not better than the original Senko. Has anyoneused theese are they good stick baits. How about castability the senkos you can throw a mile but tear up so fast. My friend swears the stick o will beat the senko head to head no problem. Does anyone have any opinions on this subject ??? We are actually thinking about putting some money on this next time were on the water lol. Im a Senko fan just wish they lasted longer

I have had good luck with all the soft style stick baits. I like them all. I haven't tried the "stick o worm" though. I like the ones made by YUM the best. They're scented, salted, have great action, pretty durable, catch fish, and they're cheap.

If fished weightless, it's not even a competition. Senko beats em all.

weightless is definitely the way to go

The thing that makes the Senko deadly also hurts its durability. It is softer and more dense so when fished weightless it has more shimmy and a more enticing fall. I haven't fished any stickbait close except Kinamis (a Derek Yamamoto bait vs Gary Yamamoto) and I never see them anymore. I think they are no longer made.

I use Yamamoto Senkos and my partner uses the Bass Pro Stick O. I tend to catch more fish but ill go through a full pack of 10 while he is on number 4 or 5 out of his 10. They seem to hold up better but catch less fish. Its not a big difference but usually the ratio is 3:1.

I agree when weightless senkos have the edge.

Go take his money. Stickos aren't bad baits but they can't hold a flame to a senko. Of the knock offs, the BPS ones, yum dingers, and big bite baits tiki sticks all catch fish. . .and they hold up longer than a senko. . .but none of them catch fish like a senko. Senko will easily outfish any of them 2 to 1, usually worse.

It's the flutter on the fall. The reason a senko is so soft and pliable is so it'll flutter properly on the fall. The tougher baits can't mimic the same action.

So you basically have to choose, quality or quantity. If I can afford it, quality beats quantity every time.

The senko consistently catches more fish for me, but it gets expensive. To get the most out of them, I fish them wacky style with the little black o-ring and wacky tool. They last longer that way

I like to fish 6" baits with a small sinker and for that the Stick-O's are just fine. Weightless wacky or weightless TX rig with the 5" or 6" size, the original Senko can't be beat. That soft plastic of the Senko hasn't been duplicated in any other copy.

I do the same, AND, I keep the ones I've fished wacky and fish them texas rigged, or vice versa, because they are expensive. If the goal is to catch fish, though, Senko ALL DAY.

Ever stop to think of why every soft stick bait is compared to a Senko? That should tell you everything you need to know. ..

For me, it depends on the depth I'm fishing.

If I'm in 4ft or less in grass, it doesn't matter much which bait is used. It's more of an reaction strike working shallow grass. In deeper or more open water, the Senko flutter matters.

Take your friends money, not a good bet for him.
