How do I tie a jig or something similar above the slab?

It's fun catching two at a time, but if the action is fast and furious, you can catch more fish faster with just the slab. Was at Bardwell last Thursday, catching two at a time, and had to take the jig off, as it was slowing me down! banana
Now don't get me wrong, that's a good problem to have! LOL

Best to use swivels. Works really well until you start running into big stripers then you break off when you get more than one on at a time. You can prevent the striper breaking the line with 40 LB test fluorocarbon but they will bend or break the hooks.

Two at a time

Three at a time even better

Stripers bend hooks and pull o-rings out

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Fish don't bend or break hooks. Fishermen do by not using the drag and their rod correctly.

Two stripers fighting each other at the same time can pull a o-ring and bend or break a hook no matter how the drag is set.

Edit: Never mind. I did some research and found that I need to tie a dropper loop.

Be prepared to lose fish using the dropper loop.

I make these little jewels for fishing two baits.

You can also get a jig head with an upper and lower eye. Personally, I like Moes drop shot clips.

I found a bunch of these VMC hooks on clearance at WalMart for $1.00 for a package of 5. Bought all they had. I tie a white marabou feather on it with red thread. The sand bass love it, as well as the crappie.

Careful with those VMC hooks. I had the wire break on me. I use only Mo's drop shot clips now
