I've been searching for awhile and have come up empty. I believe it was on this forum maybe last year or the year before about a group here that went on a Devils River trip that turned bad. As I remember, the rains came and they lost their yaks and other gear. Maybe got picked up by a helicopter also?

Anyway if anyone remembers this and could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Yeah, that was my son, me and and two others. The bad news is that we lost everything. The good news is that the little adventure provided a windfall of writing material for our blog. Here is a link to an index I posted with all our Pecos River stories --> Click here.
