How many states have you caught fish in? Here's my list:

AK, HI, WA, OR, CA, MT, UT, NM, CO, MN, WI, MO, AR, OK, TX, IL, TN, NC, VT, MA, ME, CT, FL, OH, RI, MI, NE

That's 27, if my memory serves. 22 states with fly rod, the rest with spinning gear.

Three other countries - Canada (Ontario and Nunavit), Belize and Mexico..

OR, WA, ID, CA, MT, CO,NC, SC, FL,VA, TX -only 11 states

US, Germany, Korea, Iraq, Honduras - and 5 countries

Looks like I need to get out more...

I will add, only 10 of my states were on a fly rod, the others were on my little pocket rod that fits in the golf bag.
