If so how do you like them?

I just got mine a week or so ago. Only used it once so far. It's nice and I trust its accuracy so far as my last one was a rappala that said a 24" bass was .89#. It's a little big but for my large hands it fits me just fine. If you do get one I'd suggest getting the fish gripper as an add on.

When I checked last year MLF was out of stock so I bought the Brecknell scale and the gripper from separate vendors on Ebay and ended up saving some $. As for the unit it is a little bulky. It comes with carrying bag but you have to disconnect the handle to store it in the bag.I leave it in the bag until I need it to keep it from getting scratched or damaged. If I don't have it ready it takes a little effort to get it out and attach the handle. Other than that I like it.The fish gripper concept is GREAT. No additional damage from poking a scale hook through the fish's jaw.

I bought one of the grippers from Academy and put on my Rapala scale. It does a good job gripping the bass right under the bottom lip to weigh. I don't like punching holes through the cartilage and don't like hanging them on the hook through the gill area.

I have had one for over a year now. No problems as long as your battery is good. I leave the handle on and the gripper attached. Has proven to be very accurate, compared to tourney scales and a set of weights that I use at home to check it periodically.

I've owned 2, had to return one that started eating batteries. Sure wish it had a light for dark times while weighing. Sometimes it takes a while for the weights to settle out. Don't know how they read it so fast on TV !
