Thank you! Great trip for sure and definitely going back!

I hate to say it but we couldn't separate the two, so cut the line as deep as we could and hope for the best. Not the way I wanted it to go down. The dorsal fin on the bluegill wouldn't allow us to unwedge it.

The good news is he probably wound up swallowing it.

Have you guys ever been to Oktoberfisch?

It is put on by the Frederickburg Fly Fishers. Of course it is in October and it's on the S Llano in Junction.
The event usually draws about 250 fly fishers from all over the country. It is a really fun time.

That's what I am hoping for too Jerry. Haven't made it to the Oktoberfisch yet, but there is always this year! From what I have gathered it is pretty cool. While we were in Fredricksburg, we ran out to visit Martin, owner of Country Flyfisher Shop to get some G2 and flies; super guy! Highly recommend visiting him when in the area; great flies and a wealth of knowledge!

Definitely going back to fish more of the river. Thinking the stretch from 87 to Castell would be a great overnight trip in the kayaks; supposed to be really good fishing.

I actually bought the Redington Zero Friday on the way out of town; absolutely love the reel. Paired it with a new TFO Professional II 9' 5 wt. Great combination. Apparently, they handle two for one bluebassgill specials very well too!

The last time I ate at Cooper's Bbq, I came out of the chute in to the dining room only to find NBA Hall of Famer Jerry West sitting at the first table, eating ribs with some coaches from the UT basketball team.
