Saw this come across my facebook. Cant believe its already been 3 years since this deadly day and I was on Lake Granbury yesterday fishing again on May 15th. Glad there was no tornadoes... It was a Wednesday night and my partner and I were fishing the working man's tourney. We had fish in the box and wanted to wait out the storm (not knowing of tornado's) and needless to say they never had the weigh in. We were one of 2 boats on the water when the tornado came through and we had front row seats along with the other boat 150 yds from us. There boat took on water and almost sunk, we helped them bail out water for a half hour with plano boxes once it passed and then we hauled azz... I snapped the picture from one of our many videos. Didn't want to post those with all the cussing as you can imagine.

Here is also a link to someone else's video that must have lived on the lake so you can imagine what it was like for us.

Holy smokes! I might have needed a new pair of shorts after that.

Two days after that there was a tornado in Eliasville. We were having a rehersal dinner at our ranch for our son's wedding. I put 33 girls, guys and children in the storm shelter. I climbed in my bobcat and watched it.....

If you would have been working that day instead of fishing........
Glad you were OK. I remember that day too.

Man, that's a little too close for comfort! Glad things turned out okay, and you were there to help the other boater.
