Had a truly fantastic day with my youngest son Job, Saturday. He challenged his old man, to which I laughed! I gave him a choice of three lakes to get whipped on, he chose lake "X". As things turn out, he caught the biggest! A true beast at 2lb 13oz, 16.5"!
We caught at least 100 fish! It was an epic day for sure, and I got to share it with my son and my father, who showed up with a friend. We kept 12 big un's for supper and turned the rest back to grow!
I found the fish stacked in 8.5 FOW. All were caught on Thermocline Lures mini Tadpole in Silverflash Chartreuse, and Black Emerald Shiner. We were dropping to the bottom and slowly raising the jig up. They were trying to knock the britches off this bait! There were no faint bites. Some came up as far as 6" under the surface before biting!
Those who know me know where lake "X" is! All of the females still had eggs and were about 2 to 3 days away from laying!
