I have them for renters, auto, and have my firearms insured. They give you a pretty good bundle deal if you you insure a number of things. Don't have a boat yet so I can't speak on that. Great customer service though, and they have family benefits.

I have all my insurance through USAA. They are great. I've had a couple of car claims and a hail damage claim on my roof. Every claim was handled quickly and I got more than I expected. You might find insurance for less but I don't think you can find better.

I've had them for a number of years now. Few claims and very efficient. Don't have boat insurance however they go through Progressive. A preferred customer with USAA through Progressive. Had a couple claims for boat now and no questions and extremely quick.

I have USAA for all 3 of my cars and also homeowner's insurance. They are great! I was able to get better coverage for a lower price than any other insurance company. The other companies prices don't even come close to USAA's. I've never made a claim for damage but I did have to get my car towed home once for having 2 blowouts, which they had extremely good service for.

I'm currently looking for boat insurance while having USAA for everything else. So do you ask USAA and they give you a progressive policy? Or do I need to just talk to progressive separately on my own?

I just got insurance for my boat through USAA/Progressive. I called up USAA and they transferred me to a Progressive rep that handles USAA preferred customers. Plus, I just found out in a letter I got from Progressive, that they are a wholly owned subsidiary of USAA. The rate was definitely cheaper than going straight through Progressive. I know, I went online and did a matching quote.

Thanks for your help! I was able to do it online from the USAA website. It took me to the Progressive portal for USAA members. It was super easy to get everything set up.

My house is under USAA and they have been very responsive and worked quickly on the only claim I have submitted.

I handle quit a few water damage or under slab related claims with USAA, they are excellent to work with and tend to bend over backwards for their clients.

Allstate and Farmers are by far the worst.........

Add State Farm to that list. I tried to submit a claim for damage to the awning on my RV and was denied because I didn't have a rider covering the awning. I guess I should have a rider to cover the bumpers on my three vehicles I have insured with them.
As soon as a fault accident clears my driving record and I can get a better rate from someone else, State Farm is off like a prom dress.

Hmmmmmm hmmm thanks for the info. Picked up my boat insurance via 'Bob' who steered me to Progressive.
Was a little skittish of using them but, from everything I hear on hear and Bob, almost all are very happy with their service.
I did not know they are a part of USAA....great company.
Man, hope I never have to make a claim but if I do, like the sound of the service reports on here.

With all the storm claims here in Texas recently, I'm sure home owners insurance is going to go up.....way up in cost.
Wasn't that long ago if I remember correctly, several insurance companies started to not cover roof's and other storm related issues.

I had USAA for many years and had great service. But a few years ago, I shopped around and found much cheaper rates on policies with more coverage through Kemper. I saved about $2100/y (home, cars, and boat). I called USAA and emailed them the quote I had from Kemper, and they were not able to match or even come close.

I have had one claim with Kemper and they went so far above and beyond, I couldn't have been happpier.
