Fished a couple hours with my family. Boys throwing live bait and threw everything I had and not a bite. What is the deal out there?

Pressure and grass isn't what it has been in recent years.

^^^^^^ The muddy water the last few years has kept the grass down (IMO),although there are rumors of it being sprayed.Gilmer hasn't been a numbers lake for me lately,I hope I get 5or6 bites and usually they're good ones.Go in the middle of the week if you can. The fishing was pretty good last summer.
