Finally got to fish with Tom Friday morning! We had a great time catching shallow blues...watching those blues beach themselves on shore chasing shad was a sight to see..awesome!! We caught around 25 fish(18 eaters) and my wife caught the new lake record for drum!!! 30" 16.5 lbs.....post a picture of the drum Tom!

I caught more catfish than bass this weekend and I was fishing for bass! Blues were thick in the shallow bushes and I caught them on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Can only imagine how good the catching would be with a cut piece of shad and float in 1-3ft of water around flooded bushes.

yea the blues are definitely shallow in lewisville, last week from the bank after a hard rain caught 50+ lbs of blues in couple hrs. around the bushes with shad as bait.
