as the title says, I am in the process of buying a rod and reel for the three specific things (Frogs, Flip, Pitch).
I am limited to a kind of "do all these three things rod" as I fish on my Kayak and I do not have enough room!
I've had my eye on the Dobys 736c for a while now. It seems like one of the better do all options that I've found. I want to hear others input so I don't pull the trigger too quick.
I'm also looking to pair this rod with a reel that can get them in the yak, quick. Any suggestions on the reel?
Thank you!

I also fish out of a kayak - I use a 735c for those tactics. It's a great all around rod and you can do much more than just what you listed with it. 736 is more of a broomstick and definitely heavier. Mine is paired with a daiwa zillion tws 9.1 ratio.

I use a dobyns for flipping and pitching and it works great. Haven't used it for for frogging yet,but I am sure it will do the trick.

Falcon Bucoo 7Ft heavy paired with a Lew's Speed Spool. You won't beat that combo for $200.

Daiwa Tatula Type R For the reel I highly recommend you get the Tatula Type R. It has an 8.1:1 gear ratio that it great for picking up line really fast. And that's what you really want for those applications, especially being in a kayak, as the hook set can be a little difficult. This reel is super durable and will stand the test of pure torture. It'll balance well with any rod you put underneath it and make your outfit balanced and loved. One of the things that I really like about this reel is that the retrieve is super smooth and there's no grinding noise ever. Can't go wrong with this reel!

Falcon bucoo 6'10 cajun baby. A little soft for a frog in heavy cover imo but great for tight spots from a kayak. It's a 7 power but fishes more like a 5. $99

Thank you! The rod you have your eye on will not disappoint! Pair it with a high speed Lews Super Duty and you'll be set!
