Anyone been in the last few days? General hints to minimize wasting time on the water? Going tomorrow/Friday.

Fished Tuesday. First time ever on the lake. We put in at the Marina, went to the bank on opposite side and started flipping. Missed a few good ones. Lots of small fish. Big fish of the day come on a little point, lots of shad, threw a yellow magic up in the trees and had 4lber. Due to wind, was limited on areas to fish. But flipping green stuff seemed to be best.

I caught a 7# out there yesterday on a C Rig - that's the biggest one I've put in the boat out there. I also caught quite a few on a square bill including one that was just shy of 5#

For me that was a great day out there. I fact the last two trips I've had out there have been two of the best trips ever out there.

I heard they are letting out about 6 inches of water a day out of there. Think that's gonna affect the fishing this weekend?

If it wasn't such a whip, I would upload a few pics, a 5#, 7# that I caught out there wednesday and what I believe is a dead DD that I found on the Lynn Creek Ramp - It had been dead awhile, probably washed up on the ramp but it was a big one.

I think that hurt the shallow bite, but maybe just me. I was out there with a buddy two weeks ago and we caught a lot of fish shallow on T-rigs, shaky heads. This week when I was there those bites where dead, all my fish where caught a little deeper off the bank on moving baits or C-rigging deeper points.

Me and my wife went out there last Saturday and caught 8 fish all in 4 ft of water or less. But a buddy of mine has been fishing out there a little deeper and has caught 4 overs in the past 2 weeks including a 9 1/2 and an 8 last Friday and this past monday. I was just wondering about the water being pumped out because I'm planning on taking my boss out there this weekend and just wanted to k of what to expect with them pumping water out.

If it where me, I would be throwing moving baits close to cover. But the weather is supposed to change pretty drastically over night, it could make for a great day. I think overcast and 70 something degrees is just about perfect but maybe that's just me. Good luck
