Planning on a trip to Possum Kingdom in the morning. Hoping to get the wife and friend on their first striped bass. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Live bait in the mouths of deep water coves 30' deep is where I found them a few days ago.

I second the motion on Live bait. Get that big throw net out and go back in the creeks and coves and catch some shad. You'll get some sand bass on jigs but if you want to catch big stripers you will need shad.

Tried to get on some shad. Went into a few coves couldn't find any. Another boat saw us working for some shad and told us if we wanted some help he could charge us for it. Was odd to me I've offered help to many before just out of kindness even given away gear or called them onto fish if I thought it would help them. Wife was a bit upset at other boat so we just cruised around and then came back home. Tried a few jigs and got some sand bass but she wasn't up for fishing anymore after. Might try again next week maybe.
Shark we'll give swimbaits a try next time lol

Yea yea I've caught em on lures too... I'm trying to keep someone from being skunked and by golly they will not get skunked at PK on shad.
