Charter today was all about teaching some anglers how to fish and navigate one of our back bays.

1) First stop fishing wade fishing the grass line with live croakers - Richard and Jeff caught a Texas Slam.

2) Plotting some shallow & deep reefs for Richard to log on his GPS to navigate to on his own was the main goal today, so we hit some mid bay reefs and no trout - only gafftop.

3) Quick trip to drift some grass beds - using Chartreuse/RedEeye Rockport Rattler 1/16 oz. jigs rigged with Plum/Chartreuse or Silver/RedEye RR jigs rigged with Glow/Firetail SW Bass Assassins - put us back on the trout and we nailed some quality trout.

When Richard and Jeff had their nice box of trout in the chest completed, I navigated them to some other areas to GPS & teach them how to fish it ... then it was a smooth ride home with only 8 - 10 mph SE winds today.

Nice report! How deep were you fishing from the boat?

Mid bay shell reefs we anchored & checked were 2 ft. to 8ft.

Grass beds we drifted were 2 - 3 ft.
