Fished a couple of "Inner City" locations and the bite was "SUPER"! With a lot of fresh RAIN water that has fallen this spring inner city water spots are in GREAT shape with good current and a bunch of HUNGRY Sunfish. Caught numerous Longear,Greens,Bluegill, and Redbreast. Fish were healthy and full of fight. Both bottom and float techniques were used. Fish were in 2 to 5 feet of water. Worms were the bait used. All fished were released. Catching a bunch of nice "Inner City" Sunnies! It just don't get any better! fish

Awesome Chuck! Lots of inner city creeks have very eager sunfish and normally a few large bass that are smarter than us. fish

Way to go! Looks like a nice little creek. Do you go to the San Marcos river much ? I've always wanted to flyfish there

Thanks lambcotx for the reply! cheers I do fish the San Marcus River a lot. I did not fish that river last year due to the flooding. The year before that I fished it. The area by Lulling is good and there are some nice spots to fish on the fly. thumb

Great report Chuck! Couldn't agree more about inner city hidden gems. Tons of great little fishing opportunities that most people drive by daily and never even think of them as fishing spots.

Thanks! cheers You are right. There are some hidden gems in the middle of San Antonio for sure. Have caught some really nice fish in those areas over the years. I have also seen a lot of wildlife in those areas as well. thumb

Nice variety of fish Chuck. Looks like we have gotten a lot of recent rain with a lot more to come. I bet those inner city creeks will be a muddy mess!

Thanks Curtis and HC for the replies. cheers Curtis: You can bet the inner city creeks and river will be unfishable for the next several days. hammer I drove by some of them yesterday and they are all flowing out of their banks. eeks They are also extremely muddy. You can also bet that the weeds and vegetation will be 10 feet high as well. taz Once things settle down it should be a very good summer/fall bite providing there is no more flooding. hmmm

Side Note: I also checked both Live Oak and Converse lakes. They are flooded with muddy water! nuts

Very nice fish. I love the longear variant that y'all have over there. That's a good looking redbreast as well and that spot looks serene! Great post!
