Hi all. My name is Rene Lopez, and I am currently a member of the Texas Bass Fishing Team at The University of Texas at Austin. My partner and I were planning on fishing the Boat U.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship in Florence, Alabama during the week of May 23-27th. All funds and costs for the trip are already accounted for. However, today our one boat for this tournament fell through. I am here asking for any possible leads to a boat we may be able to use for this tournament. I understand this is a long shot, but right now this is the best chance we have at making it out there. Thanks!

Excuse Me !
Are you telling this forum that with all the $$$$ & Boosters at UT that the UT Bass Fishing Team has to come on the TFF and ask for the use of a boat ? Is UT only about football ? You would think after the season UT had in football they would be looking for another competitive sport outlet.
I am going to help you get your boat........... I got 2 words for ya !

"BOOMER SOONER"
if the OU team needed a boat they would have the biggest baddest SOONER SCHOONER ever put on the water.
C'mon UT,,,,,,let's see you step up for these guys.

I can't believe liberal Austin allows their all mighty UT to have a bass team. You not feel sorry for hooking those poor fish in the mouth and taking them from their fish families. Don't let the booster club find out they have a fish team. You'll be fishing from a paddle boat, with hookless lures, pulled behind a prius that runs on vegetable oil

Not a Longhorn but a Razorback. I agree that it took nads to come on here. If you don't get any results go to your local boat dealers and see if they will help. One of them is likely to have a demo boat they might let you use.

In all honesty your best bet is to see about renting a boat.
