I cant remember seeiing reports aboutLake Buchanan. Is it just a lake that not many fish or is it that a lot of fishermen keep quiet about it. My wife and i have been here for 4 days and the fishing for stripers and hybrids is fantastic. Not only that it is a beautiful lake and no jet skis seen since we have been here and limited boat traffic other than a couple of other fishermen /women. We fish Tawakoni and Cooper a lot but to have a chance to fish this lake with nobody else is great.

Yes guys we have never been here before but definitely will be coming back. These fish eat good and are very healthy. Big difference from the big city traffic and ignorant manners from other boaters and jet skiers. Love it here.

Make no mistake we still get the Jet Ski Idiots. Seems Travis and LBJ capture the Majority of them though. The Big fish are starting to move down into the main lake. Should be seeing them in the next couple of weeks. Up north Max is catching some big fish.

SHHHhhhhhhhh...... Damn, word is out. This is my favorite fishing lake around here for the same reasons you just mentioned. As Austin creeps out more... this will change. Fishing folk are good on this lake, just keep your distance and everyone is cool.

The water is looking good out on main lake and fishing towrds rocky pt and the dam. Its clearing up good but back in the river area it was chocolate and tons of trees and other debris. We were concentrating 30-50' with shad and ripping sassy shads up from the bottom.
