I know people are tight-lipped about Rayburn, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Not fishing a tournament, just a fun trip with my dad and brother Thursday thru Saturday. Never been on the lake, and will take any tips you have. Thanks.

It's tough right now. Post spawn and a ton of new water. Weather is going to be rain all week...

Fished last weekend and all our success came from hay grass out on the points/secondary points or finding the hay grass where we could fish the outside edge and inside edge near flooded brush. It was slow for us, but that is where all our fish came from.

The lake is 4 1/2 feet high and it is the middle of May. You have choices - main lake, hard or soft cover in <10 feet. Or deep if that is your thing.

We fished there a few weeks ago and it was tough due to the water level. Here is a link to a good report.

The fish are everywhere really. Bushes, hay grass, points, flats, you name it. There are still some good bags coming from the flipping bite but last I was there that was starting to die off for me. I found some out in about 20' but they were just starting to show up out there. If your just wanting some fish I would start out main lake points or flats first thing and if your get into them once the morning bite dies slow down.

I've been catching them from 18-30' the last month. My shallow bite has really died off.
