is there a chip for the lake that shows where it is safe to run? If so where on the lake can I get one and how much is it? Also if there is more than one which is the best?

Aren't you the guy that was gonna beat up all the community holes on Fork before the Legends Tourney begins, while saving your "spots" for the tournament? If you don't know how to safely navigate the lake, how do you plan on getting to all the community holes? roflmao

You are correct sir. I know enought to be dangerous but always looking to improve. Besides I might find some shortcuts to new places that I want to learn.

Can't fault a man for wanting to learn and improve.

Be careful, those short-cuts your talking about fluctuate dramatically with the lake levels. Stick to the lanes and you and your equipment stand a better chance on Fork. JMO (27 plus years on the lake.)

I hear Lance Vicks boat lane chip is pretty good. Don't know if it shows the lane into Penson or Sun Eagle bay etc.. I have never looked at it.

If it looks clear it usually is, just go for it.

Just kidding, if you do not know idle, it's cheaper to keep her (your lower unit)

Billy, you live in Penson, not Penson.

There has been times on that lake where even running the main lanes can be crazy. I would say take short cuts with caution especially with the constant change of the lake level. It creates situations where submerged trees can float up and sit right at the surface and toucan't see them. A few years back during the API out there we hooked up to a floating log that was barely visible and drug it out of the main lanes and to the bank. Even with a chip that has a marked lane, Fork can be treacherous.

Since the lake is at full pool which resource would be the smart one to get?
