What soft plastic bait do you use when punching vegetation and pitching into bushes and cattails?

Gambler Why Not I probably use this bait the most for punching. It has a great, streamlined body that's very effective for getting through the thickest cover you can find. I also like the action of the flappers, they have a nice, subtle action. Missile D Bomb If you're punching mats on a cloudy day and need the fish to find the bait, then I opt for this one. It's ribbed body style is great at putting out water vibrations, helping the fish find the bait easier. This bait is also super soft, and that helps the fish hold on longer. This is also the number one bait that I use for standard flipping/pitching. Jackall Sasuteki Craw If you want more of a craw presentation, then I suggest you try the Sasuteki Craw. It has a streamlined body that's effective for getting through heavy cover easily. The flappers on this bait are also great. D&M Flippin' Craw For more of the standard flipping and pitching deals, I like to use this craw. It's a good craw and the body style is pretty accurate at imitating a real craw. These baits are also custom made and they come in 2 different sizes. Not to mention the colors are super cool! Zoom Brush Hog Everyone knows that no flipping and pitching arsenal is complete without the ole' Brush Hog. The Brush Hog has been around for years and is considered a standard for every angler. Lots of colors and different sizes to choose from, but the standard size is my favorite.

I'm just getting into flipping and punching but the Berkley Ike's Devil Spear is what I've been using lately. Affordable, lots of colors and durable. The compact shape with a high action tail is a nice combo.

Try the Wheelers Punch Craw from Gene Larew. It is three baits in one including the Devil Spear once you pull the appendages off.
