Fished with a Lewisville regular today. Ken and I started about 9 AM and finished about 2 PM. It was a great day even though it took a while to find active fish. The spots that have been reliable lately were devoid of fish. Had to travel a little North before we found active fish.

20-30 feet was the preferred depth. The slab spoons produced the best. Caught a few on sassy shads and rooster tails. It was catch and release today and the release happened 165 times. Probably landed 50 keeper whites. The rest were under sized hybrids and small whites. Three of them were big blues of about 8 pounds. I had trouble with downloading the photos. The one above went through ok. One of Ken came out upside down and I cannot rotate it. One photo of a big blue is on my phone, but I can not find it using the Forum's software. It is some what frustrating. Anyway we both enjoyed the day. The fishing may even get better this month and maybe the big hybrids will show up.

Good job, Don. They were still there thick yesterday evening. Non-stop and left 'em biting at dark.

Looks like they were just waiting for you to arrive at that spot. LL has not been this good for several years

I was right there when you pulled up. It was a great spot. The following day, the pattern was the same. There were fish between Hickory creek and Deadmans point as well.

Tight Lines!
God Bless
