Apparently it made no difference. It's what he said after he failed the question that they had to consider.

Personally I think they should do away with the "no information" rule. It's the info age. Let everyone get all they want. They are getting it now from each other. That way there is no question. The no info rule is so open ended. Like the Kevin Short example of the guy who knows someone who is a stick on the lake and goes by his house and sees what he has tied on while he walks past the boat. The art would be to separate the good info from the bad.

My point is that it's unreliable. Obviously BASS couldn't care less that he "passed" a private poly exam.

According to the article "denies he used unsolicited info in the tournament" in the statement he wrote. This pretty much acknowledges he received it even though he didn't want it. To me it comes down to what he did once the info got flowing.

He got caught breaking a rule plain and simple. If he would not have set there and listened we would not be having this controversy.
It is a random draw as who takes the polygraph.
