Fished Fayette this past weekend with everyone else that was excited the lake was back open. Arrived around 5:30 am and there was already 15 trailers in the parking lot. hammer

Fished the intake and three fingers in the morning. Water temperature floated around 80 degrees F. Water clarity was average for the lake, still a little on the dirty side from the rain. Didn't have as much luck as expected, only catching about 10 fish for the day between the two of us. Caught most of our fish on TX rigged plastics in flooded timber, 4-6 feet. Nothing of real size so we tried some deep spots looking for bigger fish but never got a pattern going.

If you want numbers stay in the shallow trees and keep it moving. Not sure where the Mamas are hiding, but I'll keep hunting.

Anyone else have luck this past weekend out there?

The water was a little stained. With the water stained like that, I threw a shallow crank and had a great day. I was there on Friday when it opened.

Oh yeah, the bigger fish were staged in 12 to 15 FOW that day as well. Picked up a few heavy fours. Fun day, but I sure had to hunt them down.
