I have three extra rods laying around that I would like to put a "not to expensive" but not cheap-o reel on to use for white bass, hybrid and stripers (when I can find em ) I found some Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier reels in 6.4:1 that are lightly used that I might can get a good deal on. What are ya'lls opinion of this reel. Great, Good, oh so-so, or leave it alone. Seems like it has pretty good ratings. You thoughts would really be appreciated.

I have 5 never a problem

I have 10 of them, they are my favorite reels..

I have them on Cabonlite, Falcons, and Loomis rods..

I have always been a Curado man but when I was working at Bass Pro Shop I really had the opportunity to check out pretty much all of the reels. I started fishing a little bit more this year and needed a couple of extra rigs so during the spring sale I picked up the combo Carbonlite rod and Pro Qualifier reels especially after watching a fishing show and seeing Edwin Evers using these reels. The combos were on sale for under $ 100.00 and they are now two of my favorite set ups. Only been using them for the first part of this year but I can't think of a better reel I have ever used for the price.
One thing I did do was put on one of the Power Handles on them and they are even more powerful and feel better to me.

I like them and they come in LH options. But, they are only rated to 10lb max drag--not sure that's enough for stripers.

When do they usually go on sale at BPS. Would Fathers Day be a good chance.

I prolly got close to 20 of em. Only had 1 give me an issue, and that was probably due to me. Pinched my finger in the level wind and stripped the level wind out. Only had to do that once. I have been switching over to carbon lite reels.

I bought 2 and drag went out on both. One failed on 2nd trip out. The other lasted around two months. They have to good a rating for that to be the norm. BPS made it right but guy at reel counter said that the comparably priced Abu Orra was a better reel.

I've got 4 or 5 of them. Best bang for the buck for sure. Especially when the go on sale for 49.99
