There is a lot of bait spawning right now with both blue gills on beds and shad doing their thing as well. Also still a few bass on beds and a lot of fry guarding. That has caused the fish to really spread out and made consistent good numbers difficult to find. I have been spending my time focusing around the spawning bait, either shad or blue gill, and trying to key in on what is sometimes fewer but better quality bites. Yesterday we stayed around the shad and were able to have a decent day catching 9 fish with a big 9.5 lber on a LFT Flipper in the afternoon. There is a variety of baits working and you have to adjust to the cover and forage daily as well as the weather conditions for the day. Click on my website link in my signature line for a more detailed report on the techniques I'm using and how I'm going about it each day out there and here's a couple pics from yesterday. Hope this helps and if I can help you in anyway just shoot me a message or give me a call. BTW I have next saturday available as well as a couple dates around memorial day for anybody looking for a trip.
