The weekend was slow on Saturday, but turned back on Sunday, then Tuesday was even better.. Little Ridge point was where we caught the biggest fish. Slabs of any color, with a jig a foot above it would produce 2 at a time. We also were catching some nice eater size blues on the bottom slabs. Seemed like someone would get one then for the next 20 minutes everyone would get one, then all the other boats around would catch them. I have been using a blue jig I bought a dozen of somewhere last year, its been producing some really large Sand Bass, biggest ones I ever caught. If you want to chase some Sand Bass give me a call. We started the morning at the glass house, within 5 minutes we started boating nice sand bass. White and chartruse slabs as well as mirror slabs with a jig tied a foot above was the ticket. It only lasted about an hour an the school moved off. We just dropped to the bottom and bounced it. We moved around and finally found some nice magnum size fish by the Little Ridge point on the intake side. We ended up with 108. Lots of magnum size fish as well as 3 catfish and a couple nice crappie. call to book your trip.

Lots of nice mags today. Caught many while slabbing, white seemed the color of choice. Things got slow and swithched to trolling, real nice doubles were coming in. Deep diver baits in orange or metal flake pink were hot.

Yep.. We caught em pretty good casting Cordell silver spoons and bounce them back slowly. Vertical slabbing right on bottom.. Literally light twitching few inches off bottom any more than a few inches they would not bite.!? Dusty is correct.. Fat mags

Little Ridge was hot this morning. Any where from 25 - 32'. Started with live bait and got tired of removing deep hooks. They were inhaling them on way down. Unless you set the hook and first little slack in pin they had it in throat. Got bored with bait and switched to slabs. Any color or size. I put on a 1-3/4 oz chartreuse to avoid little ones and it worked somewhat. Still got a bunch of little yellows. Put 43 in well.

Dusty, like for you or other sandie slayers thoughts on lure choice topwater& for jigging, need to update my arsenal. thanks

I'm using white long not round slabs, about 1/2 ounce, with a jig tied about a foot up from it. I cut one of the hooks off the treble, leaving the double hook. Not sure of the size of the hook.
