The past two months have been a great experience filled with plenty of beautiful sights on the Hudson River. I've never fished for stripers and this was my first attempt at a new fish on the bucket list. I didn't get a cow of a striper but I did get to fight a 9 pounder on a light action setup with 10 lb test. My fluorocarbon leader was toast afterwards. Here's the video if you'd like to watch.

Tight Lines!

I miss Texas

Bert, I've got appx 16 months left. Once i'm settled back home i plan on hitting the tournaments that Texas has to offer. Hopefully some of them bring me up that way.

I just fished the Kayak Classic at Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn and tied for 2nd with a 39" striper. It was a blast!
