OP I love fishing Extreme Angler I Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 1,806 Ft Worth, Tx	Today I took my dad out for some crappies. He loves eating crappies. Got on the lake at 11am and we hit the timbers first. First stop we pulled in 6 keepers and 9 throwbacks. Moved to next timber we pulled in 2 keepers and 5 throwbacks. We fished in 20 to 25 fow and they suspended at around 12 to 15 feet. After that we hit two COE piles and the first pile was loaded with 8 to 10 inch fish. We probably caught 20 throwbacks with about 9 keepers. Next we hit the 2nd pile and this one was loaded with big ones! We caught well over 18 keepers with few throwbacks. Overall it was a beautiful day to be out and spend some quality time with my dad. Dad had a blast catching them crappies. All fish were caught with minnows and jigs. Again they like minnows more than jigs especially them big ones.
