Being a System Administrator and doing computer management has finally crossed paths with my fishing habit.

My plan is to install a T-box 200 and connect it to my already installed Samsung 8' tablet that I use to access and repair computers while on the lake. I will then use my Lowrance 5' for maps only and run my sonar via 8' screen. Basically this will give me 13' of screen for map and sonar but separate. I have the Navionics paid maps on the Samsung device but their is no need to run maps in both places. I stream music from my tablet to my stereo via a cable so my hope is that I can still run music while the app is running. My plan then is to take my 12.5 HP android tablet if all works well to have a larger screen if needed. With a 5' map and separate 8' sonar it may not be necessary. All of this for 150.00 is not bad. I can then allow anyone on the boat with a smart phone including myself when I go up front to view the sonar. No more "Dude Look at this." or "How deep are we?" More results to follow and how it works once its installed with Pros and Cons in my review.

Cool! Are they water resistant? Or waterproof, to a certain depth? hmmm

I ordered Saturday so I will post here for a sampling of delivery times. It cost a $10.00 flat rate for the SP200 T-box. My Samsung 8' Tab can be purchased at stores for as low as $179.00. Mine was free on a AT&T update to our business account. I am using a Gumdrop case mount that I had already mounted on my boat. They make a waterproof Gumdrop case for a iPad. I think a Ram mount would work just fine as well. I plan on streaming my music now through my Galaxy 6 Edge now since I have read that connecting to the T-box does not allow additional internet connection. Allowing the data through my connection as well as being connected to the T-box WiFi may still work. Basically out of pocket $340.00 plus mount. More to follow.

Pros:Easy to order and informative website with videos, Links with Navionics (If needed), Connects to moble device you already own.

Cons: Could get costly depending on mounts, does not allow(accounting to site information) simultaneous connections for web access.Unsure about WiFi Connection and 4g simultaneous connections in documentation, does not have a PC app for laptop connection via windows.

Delivery was in 4 business days and the package just as pictured including a arm band for the phone if you use one. This post will be quick because I was able to install in 20 min. Seriously. Hook to the battery mount unit, mount the transducer 3 feet and you are in action. You have to connect to the WiFi connection then set your device as a master. On of button is on the side with a red led when powered on that flashes. Anyone else can login if desired as slave for viewing. Pretty slick so far. Questions?

Don't want to hi-jack the thread but PM me if anyone is interested in one of these units. I have a brand new one I will make a deal on.

On the lake with the zoom feature. It worked quite well. The lake has filled to level of docks so fishing is tough but I can still catch some.
