The weather was a dream today.Hit my milk run some here some there .They made me work for every bite. The bite was as if small channels were nibblin on the jig you had to just hold the line tight and watch it tic tic then they loaded up most swung in the jig would fall out.The ones that did want a boat ride were gooduns .Ended with 17 keepers 30 with the short tail disease there head is to close to there tail. Most were 15 to 19 ft deep.Well got my first sun burn.Just grilled me a mess and sure was fine till next time .Darrell

15 - 19 ft deep..... Kinda deep this early in the year, but if that is where they are, that's where your jig needs to be.....
Just saying.....

Crappie fishing... what else is there ??

OK DW, question for ya...Friday I caught tons of fish, many different places/different types of structure. The bite was good, steady and when they bit, they hammered it. Very good conditions on the water, winds 0-5 mph, sunny and warm. Sunday and Monday I went back, cloudy and windy, and the bite was slow and lethargic, and very light...no rain to speak of, so what changed the way they bite? what moved the fish? I understand the weather changed, but the water conditions didn't, temp stayed the same...

Sounds like a heck of a day on the water DW. Glad to hear you're keeping them honest down in your neck of the woods.

Well the fish don't replenish on the same cover very fast on Stone. The more sunlight the more they get tight to cover.Thats the way it seems to me .
