So I completed the Humminbird DI transducer install and tried it out for the first time today on Ray Roberts. This trolling motor is awesome and the ducer worked great. I wish Motorguide would come up with a better plan for DI transducers. Here are a few pics

That's awesome! I have the same TM and absolutely LOVE it! Is that air hose t hat you used? Where did you get the idea for that? It looks great!

That's a nice way to tackle a tough install. Looks professionally done.

Fooshman on the forum was kind enough to share the info on this install. Maybe he will chime in and post the directions again. Yes it was an air hose from Home Depot.

I can't take credit for it. I found it somewhere on the internet (crappie forum?) myself when I was trying to researching trolling motors/depth finders for my boat.

I need to find a duller air hose for when I do mine. grin

Interesting use of air hose, I've always used wire loom/small zip ties in likely wear areas for the TM cable.

Now the question is who makes a black, brown or green air hose. Need it to match my camo boat. peep

loop

Right! I looked online but didn't have much luck so Home Depot it was. I wish it wasn't blue but it does work well.

I got the Xi5 with the built in transducer. Pulled the unit up for the first time and cut the x-ducer cable. I will be switching to this. Thanks for the info.

I did mine like this but used the blue. I ordered some Orange off of Ebat for the next time I replace it if I ever do. Works great!

Thanks to those responsible for this post; I just put a downscan unit on the xi5 using this info and it came out perfect! And yes, I did use the same blue hose - only thing they had at Home Depot. If you have the 54" shaft 4 coils will do it, 5 was too much.
