FYI

Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine created a Texas Fishing Guide inside the magazine's mobile app. The guide includes 20 of the most common freshwater species with descriptions, where they are found and how to catch them. There is also a full color illustration for each fish.

Now you can have information with you on your device if you are not sure of a species. The app is free to download and the Fishing Guide is free (however, many of the other articles in the app are for subscribers.)

This is a great resource for novice anglers.
