What's up with the water levels at Ivie being so consistently low? I find it really odd that between the rains and the drought that the water level has been consistently hovering around the 45' low mark with only 2' of fluctuation. If you look at the historical averages of other lakes, it seems like it's an oddity.

No run off in the water shed It's as simple as that. We have not gotten the hard down pours out here to really get the rivers flowing. A three inch rain over a three day period doesn't run off very much.

My buddy was cat fishing last weekend with goldfish. He said one of their trotlines had more bass on it than catfish. . .a couple of them were big fish too. The bass were released so they're still in there to catch. They had their lines less than 500 yds from the ramp.

Are the fish biting? Anybody want to give a report? It's typical Ivie, one day is decent and the next three are tough. I live here, and went to Amistad yesterday for a day trip if that tells you anything.

I can certainly understand about not getting enough runoff in the watershed. I just find it odd that it consistently stays around 45' low. Why not lower? Similarly on Whitney. I grew up there and it will go from full pool to 11' low in no time after some research and finding that the BRA owns the top 11' and send it down stream to the rice farmers, it all starts to make sense....just didn't know if something similar happened on Ivie.

Yes it's onlin, they were mixing it with water from Ivie last I heard and that's been a while. Spyder, Ihey can't release water to farmers down river. If they opened the gates nothing could come out and I can't remeber the last time I've seen water up to the gates.
