TTO has been monitoring Texoma very close this week and with only 2 weeks left before the event, we have decided to swap this tournament lake with Lake Tawakoni. With the lake only falling 3 inches since Monday, we don't see it falling anywhere near full pool. We have been in contact with Highport Marina and they have told us that the ramp is open but the water is over the courtesy docks and in the parking lot. We will go to Texoma in July for the last qualifying event. TTO would love to wait and see if the lake begins to fall more rapidly. That being said, we also don't want teams investing time and money practicing when there is a potential for a lake closure there. All the information for Tawakoni will be posted on the website tonight. If you have any questions feel free to call myself or Darryl.

Never an easy call by the TD but thanks for making it early enough to not waste time practicing. I think it was the right call under the circumstances.

Good Job on making a tough call. I think this will be better for everyone. Texoma is already 7' high with more rain in the forecast. Im glad you gave 2 weeks notice as well instead of waiting till the last moment like some TD's have done in the past.

That just sucks, Texoma in the Summer what a turd fest, but not to blame the TD, for trying to make the best of what looks bad to him. Texoma has come down a foot since Wed. now only 6 feet high

May is normally a great month on Texoma but this may, not so much. It will fish better after the water goes back down and clears up some. Its blood red right now.

But the worst time to fish Texoma is July and Sept. also small turnouts because of the heat. good luck
