Steve, very nice catch. Hope you catch many more.
I noticed that the skin on the top outside of your left hand is dark and irregular in shape. If you have had this examined by a doctor or if it is just a shadow, ignore what am about to suggest. Go see a doctor quickly, and rule the possibility of this being a melanoma type of skin lesion.

What a stroke of bad luck.
5 days after the SAL program.
Congrats to the angler.
Wish it could've been caught from Randy's boat, instead of his trail boat.
Randy knows the fish on this pond.
Maybe, things are about to really take off on Fork.....

Randy still holds the record on Cypress Springs. He caught the record in February and returned the fish. I caught the same exact fish in the exact same location in July the same year. I compared pics and the markings were identical. Mine was 12 lbs his was 14. Back in the day he spent a lot of time on Cypress and was the man there too.
BTW, Congrats on the lifetime catch. That's an awesome fish!

Congrats on a great fish. Those beasts seem to have been hard to come by this year on Fork.
A trained eye can tell that fish is long and thick. That said, I'd be tempted to toss my buddy in the lake for that picture.
