I bought some 3m5200 marine epoxy at Academy.
Decide where you want to start at the back. Drill a small hole in the rubrail to run the wires inside the 2 piece rub rail.
Pull the paper off the tape a little at a time, every 4 inches. put a dab of 3m5200 and press under the rubrail.
The sticky tape will hold it long enough for the 3m5200 to set up.
Then run the wires inside the rubrail to the transom and drill another small hole to run the wires out and into the rigging tube through the transom area inside the hull.
Connect wires from each side inside the hull, and run to a toggle switch.
I did mine like this last year and have had no trouble at all and they attract a lot of bait and fish.
The GW will stop you if you run them while under way. Ask how I know this. hammer

Thanks. I think I see a way I can run my wires through the transom without having to drill anything. Just waiting for my LED lights to come in now.

Post a pic if you figure it out. I have some LED's on the way to. I had to go with 3528's. The 5050 strip was too wide to fit up under my rub rail.
