Slow bite at noon, here and there on multiple baits ranging from rattle trap to jigs, and Texas rigs. Evening bite on top waters was phenomenal! Mostly big fat Kentucky bass, occasional blacks.

I just moved to the area and have been fo RR four times. I cant seem to pattern them. I am used to fishing grass. Any information on the lake is hard to come by. I found the sandies and some big crappie but the bass are tough.

If your wanting to go out and catch bass not caring about the size you could easily just be a bank buster either throwing a Texas rig or action bait. And easily catch a ton of fish. But females are going to be on your secondary points as they should for the most part be in post spawn, but I also believe not all have spawned out due to this weather etc I think there should be another set getting ready, as we saw today multiple bass roaming the water in about 2-5 foot but that's my opinion. We fished all over the lake today for fun, trying new places... did well close to structure, deep drop offs, secondary and main water points and in the evening fishing flats, you have all types of structure to fish on this lake.

The grass was really making a comeback out there before last years floods. It will come back when the water stabilizes for a while.

Lots of roaming carp and gar eating fry and shad but I did not see any Bass on beds. What I did see was a bunch of last years spawn that are now about 11" eating anything you put in front of them. Caught a couple of good spawned out fish Saturday afternoon and was entertained by the short fish and sand bass the rest of the time. My bite slowed way down once the sun came out about 5:30. I watched about a 5lb catfish come up and eat my white spinner bait and almost jerk the rod out of my hand. Man those things are hard on spinner baits!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

I remember that good ol drilla field...dumb question, but I've been out of the loop for...oh, about 10 years...and I've been hitting my old spots with good success. Where did the hydrilla go??? Again, if it's obvious, sorry...but I've been gone.

Again, if it's obvious, sorry...but I've been gone. Lake got 17ft low and that big flat was dry. It has come back a couple times but only last a year or so before the lake gets too low or too high and kills it all.

We fished from 7-12 and caught 20-30 in and around grass. Fished some stick ups around the state park that had more of the quality fish. Plenty of 4-5 pounders still on the bank. Most fish were in 4-7 fow. Good day to be on the water!
