Went fishing last Saturday, bite was good, water was very clear, with visibility about 6' on an inlet.
Was wanting to catch 3-6" panfish for catfish bait. Didn't get any large panfish, which is odd, usually one 8"+ will hit.
Caught quite a few long-eared red-eyed panfish, dunno the hybrid. Long-ear warmouth maybe?

Those are some incredible colors. Great pics and fish.

I bet that one long ear was as brilliant a red color as you have ever seen when he was in the water. I caught one in the creek the other day and I thought I'd caught a new species of fish until I got him out of the water, LOL. It was incredible how red he looked. Too bad they don't grow to 12 inches. Now that would be an experience to catch.
