Yesterday I had Alex and wife Rose Mary out for the morning on Gibbons Creek. The lake was full, barely over the boat ramp pier. Winds were northeast at 8-10 mph.

As has been the case most of the year, there was no shad shallow at the boat ramp. We had to move a few times to locate fish. Once we did Rose Mary showed us how it is done, hook set after hook set.

They ended the morning with 39 nice cats for the cleaning table.
All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, corks and tight lines, in 2-5 foot water.

Anyone planning a trip to Fayette County Lake, it has been closed for two weeks due to high waters, check before you go.
