Just came from the dam and the lake nothing biting on either side. One boat below the dam they weren't catching anything either!

You're welcome JJ4MEL  search "twisted Paternoster fishing rig " on YouTube. It's really good rig for lake fishing too, I used it for years until I got lazy and found a three way swivels on Amazon.com that doesn't cut my line. If you like I can send you some to use until you figure out how to tie twisted Paternoster knot. Good luck hope you have great time at red river. Thanks Bankangler!! Can you send me a photo of the swivel? I may consider ordering some myself.

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

We call them a drop-loop rig...you can tie it with the hook directly inside the loop or tie the loop and slide your line through the eye and around the tip and pull so you can change hooks W/O re-tying 
If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....
