I'm making my first trip to Lake Bastrop tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone had any info that may help put us on fish. Thank you for any help you can give.

Haven't fished Bastrop lately but it is an absolutely great lake. This time of year the fishing should be great. Good luck.

Usually worming or cranking the outer edge of the grassline works best for me. The frog bite should be on by now as well. If all fails, try the outlet cove edges.......

Did you go? I'm needing to know if it's not flooded and if the ramps are open. Planning to go down this week myself.

Put on a swim jig and move around until you find some active fish...

Bastrop doesn't flood. Both ramps are open but getting there Saturday after the storms was tricky. Lots of debris on 95. Boated 36, all slot.

Water is off color and 87 degrees.

SBs early, finesse later. Grass, grass, grass.
