First year Rio! Depending on the condition of the creek will play a huge part on their growth.  Rios are super fighters and 9 inches up are considered trophy fish by Texas Parks&Wildlife.  Side Note: Great way to spend the lunch break! Catching Rios. It just don't get any better!

Thanks, I caught them around San Saba. That's the furthest north I've caught them. There was a few a little bigger and I caught some chunky lil bass.

Even at that size they are a great fight on a 3 weight rod. Glad you found a few close to you.
