We got a little wet in the BFL on Toledo. Weather was pretty bad, take off was delayed an hr. We didn't take off until 8:30. It rained for the first 2 or 3 hrs then the sun came out. I needed wipers on my googles at take off.

Also glad the wind died down, Friday was brutal in practice with the wind.

I'm ready to fish a tournament in good weather.

Thanks, Billy

I'll take your word on it for Friday, that run south was fun.

I meant 7:30, I guess I got hit in the head with a big rain drop !!

My goggles fogged up as soon as I got on plane, I threw them in the floor they were pretty much worthless.

I trailered on Friday for practice. Even though my run was not that long, I didn't have it in me. Last tournament on Rayburn was bumpy enough to last me for a while.

Thanks, Billy

I fished tourneys on Saturday and Sunday Nothing but sunshine all day today. A little overcast yesterday till around noon.

Windy. But dry.

I stunk it up bad again with only 2 fish, it was tough. I'm glad we have a break. I have to regroup and figure out what I am doing wrong or need to do different.

I know one thing I am going to figure out, this foggin up google Phase Saver thing. I have both and fog so bad they are worthless. I need some kind of antifog juice. Or maybe switch to space helmet, Sccuba mask or something !!!

I'm going to make a separate post and see if I can get some pointers on google fogging or how not too.

Thanks, Billy

Motorcycle helmet. Take and put a price of a plastic bait to hold the shield up just a tad little bit. Main thing is to get up to speed 50+ without it fogging.

Scuba masks will fog even worse as they are not vented. (Your face warms up the trapped air so the moisture condenses on the lens. Your other lenses may be more prone to fogging if they have a residue on them from the manufacturing process - such as a mold release agent. Getting lenses properly cleaned is step one to avoiding condensation. At home, first wash your hands with dish soap to remove natural oils, rinse well. Next, wet the inside surface of the lense. Apply a couple of drops of non-abrasive dish soap (think Dawn, for instance). Gently but thoroughly rub this around on the lense to degrease it. Rinse, rinse, and rinse some more. Shake off as much water as you can, and let the lense air dry undisturbed. Do not towel dry. You can use a hair dryer if in a hurry. This cleaning process may reduce the tendency to fog if your's is fogging worse due to an oily substance on the lense.

The soap thing works for a little while. The best thing I have found is Rain X. I use the standard Rain X for the outside of the shield and the Rain X anti fog for the inside. Available at any auto parts store. I treat my mine once a year and it is good to go. I use a motor cycle helmet I purchased in '06 for my motor cycle. When I sold the bike the helmet was to big for the buyer so I kept it and started using it for the boat. It is a little dangerous IMO. When you have a full faced helmet on running down the lake it almost feels like you are in a car and you tend to not have that butt puckered feeling in bad weather. A little fear is not a bad thing running in bad weather. I am just saying.

But just think, if you also used a snorkel (in a color to match the fluorescent trim on your boat) you could be the first to make a real game-changer fashion statement and be responsible for a new trend in the latest "pro look" gear! roflmao
